Load entry · rate confirmations

The rate con comes in. The load fills itself in.

The broker emails the rate confirmation minutes after you book. Upload it to RIZE, as the PDF or a photo on your phone, and the load is typed in for you: the broker, their load number, both stops, the dates, the rate. You check it and add the driver.

From rate con to load

Upload it. Check it. Done.

  1. 01

    Press New Load

The first thing on a new load is a big button: Fill from rate con.

  2. 02

    Pick the rate con

The PDF from the broker's email, a scan, or a photo you take on your phone. It is filed against the load.

  3. 03

    It's filled in

A few seconds later the load has the broker, the stops, the dates, the money and the commodity.

  4. 04

    Add the rest

The driver, the truck and their pay are outlined in red. A rate con never says those.

What it reads off the rate con

On the rate conWhere it goes in RIZE
The broker, MC number, contact, phone, invoice email, addressThe broker on the load, added to Brokers & Customers if they're new
The broker's load number and confirmation numberBroker's Load # and Rate Con #
Pickup and delivery: facility, address, dateShipper and Receiver, added to your stops if they're new, and both dates
Appointment times, PU and delivery numbers, equipmentNotes on the load, where the driver sees them
Commodity, weight and milesThe same boxes on the load
Linehaul, fuel surcharge and other agreed payLine Haul, Fuel Surcharge and Other, kept apart
Payment terms, like Net 30Terms on the load

It leaves alone what isn't agreed pay yet. Detention, lumper and layover only get paid if they happen, and quick pay is an option you choose later, not a fee you owe, so none of them are filled in as money.

Why not just type it?

Typing a load from a rate con is ten or fifteen boxes, every load, and a mistyped broker load number is what makes an invoice sit unpaid. Reading it straight off the paper is faster, and the numbers on the load are the numbers on the rate con.

It's also the start of everything else in RIZE. The load you just filled in becomes the invoice to the broker, with the rate con and the signed BOL attached, and the driver's pay at the end of the week.

What it doesn't do

  • It doesn't decide for you. Check the load against the paper, the same as you would after typing it.
  • One pickup and one delivery. Extra stops on the rate con go into the notes.
  • It doesn't find loads. RIZE isn't a load board. It takes over once you've booked.

Questions

Does it work with every broker's rate confirmation?

It reads the rate con the way a person would, so it isn't tied to any one broker's layout. It works on a typed PDF, a scan, or a photo taken on your phone. What it can't read clearly it leaves empty for you, rather than guessing.

Will it change anything I've already typed?

No. It only fills boxes that are empty. If you've already typed in a rate, it keeps yours and says so.

What if the broker isn't in RIZE yet?

It adds them, with everything on the rate con: name, MC number, contact, phone, the email invoices go to, address and payment terms. If the broker or a stop is already on file, it uses that one instead of making a duplicate.

What do I still have to fill in?

Who is hauling it and what the driver gets paid. A rate con never says either. RIZE outlines those boxes in red as soon as it has filled in the rest.

Does it cost extra?

No. It is part of RIZE TMS at $39 a month for the whole company, with unlimited trucks. Every new account gets 30 days free with no credit card.
