Driver pay

Driver pay that always matches the loads.

Each load carries what the driver earns on it. A settlement is those loads for the week, added up, plus bonuses and minus deductions. Nothing typed twice, nothing paid twice, nothing missed between weeks.

  • Per mile, percent, flat, day, hourly
  • Unlimited drivers
  • $39/mo for the company

Settlement day

Pick the driver. The loads come in ticked.

A new settlement opens on last week, Monday to Sunday. Pick the driver, and every load they ran in those dates appears at the top, ticked, with one button to add them all.

  • Base pay is added up from the loads, not typed
  • Bonus, per diem, reimbursements, taxes withheld and deductions
  • Gross, taxable wages and net worked out for you

Where settlements go wrong

Built around the three usual mistakes.

A load paid twice

A load joins a settlement only from the settlement itself, and shows which paycheck it's on as a link. It can't quietly land on two.

The rate changed after

Re-price a load and the settlement's base pay follows. If you typed a flat wage yourself, it's left alone and the difference is shown.

The wrong driver

Move a load to another driver after it's been paid and the paycheck says so, instead of paying the new driver as well.

Every way drivers get paid.

Set a driver's usual rate once. Each load starts with it, and can be changed for that load alone.

Pay basisHow RIZE works it out
Per mileThe load's miles × the driver's rate per mile
Percent of loadThe load's total × the driver's percent
FlatA set amount for the load
Per dayDays worked × the day rate
HourlyHours worked × the hourly rate

Paid by the day or the hour? RIZE says plainly that a load can't be split into days, and lets you put the days or hours on the settlement instead of guessing at them per load.

Questions

Does it do payroll taxes?

No. It records taxes withheld, per diem, reimbursements and deductions, and works out gross, taxable wages and net, but filing payroll taxes stays with your payroll provider or accountant.

Does it work for owner-operators leased to me?

Yes. Pay them a percent of the load, and put escrow, fuel advances or other lease deductions under deductions.

Can drivers see their loads?

Yes, on their own phone page, with only their loads. It's optional.

How many drivers can I add?

As many as you have. $39 a month covers the company, however many drivers and trucks.
